750 billion US dollars are lost each year due to machine failures caused by insufficient lubrication and more than 22.2 million tonnes of lubricants seep into water and soil every year. Despite this, 240 billion US dollars are spent on lubrication annually. igus shows how a clean revolution can be achieved with pioneering technologies such as AI and VR as well as innovative materials. This year, the polymer specialist is presenting 247 innovations from all areas of lubrication-free motion plastics that benefit both the environment and industry. New products made from ECO materials and renewable resources, new linear and drive technology for the smallest installation spaces through to heavy-duty applications, the extension of the igus guarantee, AI-based robotic solutions and the igus:bike, which is now going into serial production under the new brand name RCYL.
