This is exactly why igus has now developed the drive technology configurator. After the application parameters are entered, the smart product finder shows the customer all suitable drylin drive technology solutions along with their service life. Depending on the filter settings, the user can choose the optimal linear module system and further configure and order it with compatible accessories such as motor and control system.
Designing the right shaft for an application is not easy without CAD software and in-depth technical knowledge. igus has now developed a new, free-of-charge and freely accessible online tool with the drylin shaft configurator. In just three steps, the user is given the opportunity to select the right shaft in the required length from seven materials, machine the main body and the machined ends with standard elements such as chamfers and grooves and order the configuration. In addition, the user receives the STEP files of their configuration as well as a dimension drawing for download, free of charge.

With the newly developed online tool, users can design their own guaranteed ready-to-connect energy chain system, in just a few steps. Here, the interior separation is made automatically and the user receives reliable information on the durability of the energy chain and cables used. This allows the customer to easily choose the most cost-effective system which fits their application.
